Tourist furious after Queen’s guard screams at her outside Buckingham Palace

A woman has been left shaken after a Queen’s guard screamed at her while she posed for a photo. Watch the video.

A tourist has been left furious after the Queen’s guard lashed out at her for getting too close to his horse.

The soldier, stationed outside Buckingham Palace, can be seen screaming at the blonde woman after she touched the animal’s reins while posing for a photo.

Footage of the clash in London shows the mum moving towards the guard on horseback before smiling for the camera. The woman then reaches her hand up to hold the reins, appearing to spook the horse.

“Stand back from the Queen‘s lifeguard, don’t touch the reins,” the soldier yells loudly.

The startled woman jumps and reaches her hands to her chest in shock.

The clip was posted on TikTok by a user named Ethan, who goes by @_phigs on the app, said he vowed never to return to London following the incident involving his stepmum.

“Guard verbally attacks my stepmum,” he captioned the clip. “We will never return to London after this incident.”

The boy who uploaded the footage is believed to be the woman’s stepson.

However, the clash left viewers divided over who was in the wrong.

Most claimed the woman deserved the public berating for distressing the horse and ignoring signs warning visitors to keep their distance.

But a handful insisted the guard‘s response was over the top.

“Serves her right. You aren‘t allowed to touch the guard,” one person said.

Another wrote: “It‘s not Disneyland. They are military personnel and should not be messed with.”

But another said: “God, he could have said it a bit calmer.”

“We take all incidents like this seriously and want to ensure all those who visit Horse Guards have an enjoyable time,” a spokesperson for the Army told The Mirror.

“This area is particularly busy with tourists and on occasions the soldiers undertaking Guard duty need to shout loudly to alert members of the public if they get too close to the horses, which happened in this case.

“We have signs placed alongside the horse boxes, stating that the horses bite and would always encourage the public not to get close to horses, as after all, they are animals and can be unpredictable.”
