'You know I'm Sussex now': Meghan insists on royal surname

Meghan Markle has shared a rare photo of Prince Harry and their daughter, Princess Lilibet, to mark International Women’s Day.

The Duchess of Sussex shared the image, showing doting dad Harry kissing the top of his three-year-old daughter’s head as they cuddle while taking an idyllic boat trip.

It was published alongside other images “celebrating strong women”, including a black and white snap of Meghan as an adorable toddler with her mother, Doria Ragland.

Another image showed Meghan and Harry laughing and hugging as they walked along a beach.

The post was captioned: “Celebrating the strong women around us & the girls with dreams who will become women with vision. Also thanking those who uplift us every day.”

It came as Meghan’s new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan was slammed by British critics, with accusations the lifestyle show is pointless and cringeworthy.

American critics did not hold back either, with Hollywood bible Variety dubbing it a “Montecito ego trip not worth taking” and the Hollywood Reporter saying the show “lacks a key ingredient”.

MEGHAN’S SERIES RENEWED FOR SECOND SEASON

Meghan Markle’s show “With Love, Meghan” has been renewed for a second season by Netflix.

The streamer announced the news, adding that production on Season 2 of the Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle and cooking series has already wrapped. It will premiere in the fall.

The Post can also exclusively reveal that filming on the second season of “With Love, Meghan” had begun by January.

Shortly after the official announcement by Netflix, Meghan took to her Instagram page to celebrate.

“If you’re loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up on Season 2!” she wrote.

“Thanks for joining the party, and an endless thanks to the amazing team and crew who helped bring it all to life!”

In more good news for Team Sussex, more products from her As Ever brand will be announced.

Regarding season two of the show, it’s unclear whether production stopped when the LA fires broke out on January 7.

The premiere date of With Love, Meghan Season 1 was pushed back from January 15 to March 4 because of the devastating blazes that destroyed large swathes of Los Angeles.

“I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” Meghan, 43, said in a statement.

The eight-episode first season, which dropped Monday, features some of Meghan’s famous friends, including Mindy Kaling and her former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.

Her husband, Prince Harry, 40, also appeared on the show — but only briefly.

On Wednesday, the mother of two took to social media to share that the series had reached the Netflix’s Top 10 list within 24 hours of its release.

“For more recipes, fun and reasons to ‘Mmmm’, check out the show — which in just 24 hours is already in the Top 10,” the duchess wrote on her Instagram Story.

“Thank you to all of you around the world who are tuning in! ️” she concluded her message alongside a snippet from the show.

However, the show did not receive universal praise, with some critics calling the program “pointless,” “exhausting” and “boring.”

Kaling’s appearance on the show also stirred conversation after a scene in which Meghan corrects the Office alum on her last name (it’s “Sussex” not “Markle,” the duchess said).

“This feels like a new chapter that I’m so excited that I’m able to share and I’ve been able to learn from all of you,” she said. “All of that is part of that creativity that I’ve missed so much, so thank you for loving me so much and celebrating with me.”

Meghan and Harry stepped down from their roles as senior working royals in January 2020. That same year, they signed a A$160 million deal with Netflix. They released a docuseries, “Harry & Meghan,” in 2022, and Harry’s Polo doc in December 2024.
