Donald Trump claims Joe Biden is not running the US after Kamala gaffe

Donald Trump has mocked Joe Biden and said one big call by the President has made Americans look like “sore losers”.

'Don’t count her out': Hillary Clinton considers presidential run

Donald Trump has mocked US President Joe Biden, claiming he is not the one running the country.

In a prerecorded interview that aired on Fox News, host Maria Bartiromo asked whether Mr Trump thought someone was directing Mr Biden after he called Vice President Kamala Harris “president”.

Bartiromo was referring to Mr Biden accidentally calling his second-in-command “President Harris” during graduation remarks at South Carolina State University last week – a slip up which has happened before.

In response, Mr Trump claimed Mr Biden was not running the country.

“I never called Mike Pence president. I’ll tell ya, I can’t imagine what’s going on. It’s hard to believe,” he said.

Mr Trump also claimed the US was no longer respected and sensationally appeared to claim Covid-19 would be gone if he was in charge.

“Biden was going to do a wonderful job … he’s done a horrible job,” Mr Trump said.

“Look at what’s gone on … this was supposed to be away, this would have been gone.

“One of reasons people don’t take the vaccine is because they don’t trust Biden.”

Mr Trump declared China must pay for the coronavirus pandemic.

“They have to do something to make up for what they’ve done,” he said.

The former president also said if he was in charge he would not boycott the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, which the US announced a diplomatic boycott over concerns about China’s human rights record.

“There’s much more powerful things we can do, much much more powerful things. That’s not a powerful thing,” he said.

“It almost makes us look like sore losers. Our country is no longer respected. I’d like to see our athletes go over and win every single medal.”

Australia announced it would join the US and not send officials to the games earlier this month.

Mr Trump dropped another bombshell in the interview saying he’d like a rematch with Hillary Clinton in 2024, despite not confirming he is running in the presidential election.

However, Mr Trump has dropped major hints that he plans to run, including recently on an interview with broadcaster and friend Nigel Farage on the UK channel GB News.

When Mr Farage asked why Mr Trump would consider going back to that “hell”, referring to his time as president, Mr Trump said: “When you love the country you have no choice.

“This is a wonderful beautiful life but I liked that too because I was helping people.

“That’s why I did it and I think you’ll be happy in the future too, because that will (be) your next question, but you’ll be happy in the future.”

On a recent interview on US show TODAY, Ms Clinton said Mr Trump running again would be dangerous for the country.

She said his return to the White House “could be the end of our democracy”.

“Not to be too pointed about it, but I want people to understand that this is a make-or-break point,’ Ms Clinton said.

“If he were or someone of his ilk were once again to be elected president and especially if he had a congress that would do his bidding, you will not recognise our country.”
