North Queensland Cowboys coach Todd Payten looks set to christen a new-look halves pairing with teenage phenomenon Jaxon Purdue set to shift to the number seven jersey to partner Tom Dearden this weekend.

The livewire has been playing at centre in the NRL so far, but will shift back to his preferred position this weekend as the Cowboys look to re-establish their claim to finals footy following a narrow loss and a draw in the last two rounds by serving up some revenge to round one rivals the Manly Sea Eagles.

Kick off is at 5.30pm, this Saturday.
