Police have released terrifying footage of the moment a McDonald’s worker was held at knifepoint in the hopes of identifying the people involved.
At about 4.15am on Monday, January 2, two people entered a McDonald’s in Canning Vale, about 20 km from Perth, armed with knives.
The duo, disguised under scarves and one with a motorcycle style helmet on, were seen in the restaurant appearing to speak to each other while they waited to be served.
When the worker approached them, the pair quickly pulled out what appear to be large kitchen knives.
Police allege they demanded cash from the attendant while threatening him with the knives.
They then put the stolen cash in a backpack before fleeing the scene on foot.
Western Australia Police detectives are hoping the public can help to identify the two people responsible.
Anyone with further information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
