Emergency crews rush to scene of bus crash in Innaloo, Perth

A woman has been rushed to hospital and emergency crews are attending the scene of a crash between a bus and a car.

A woman has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a bus crash in Perth’s north.

Two ambulances remain at the scene on Ellen Stirling Boulevard in Innaloo after a silver Hyundai i30 reportedly crashed into a Transperth bus about 8.20am on Wednesday.

A St John Ambulance service spokeswoman confirmed it did not appear to be a “mass casualty event”.

The female driver aged in her 20s has been rushed to Royal Perth Hospital after being freed from her vehicle by emergency crews.

A passenger on the bus told The West Australian the driver allegedly attempted to cross lanes before she crashed into the side of the bus.

About 50 passengers were on board the bus at the time of the crash, with some believed to be Churchland Senior High School and Shenton College students.
