A woman has drowned in the waters near a popular holiday spot on Victoria’s west coast.
Emergency services found the woman’s body in the waters off Jan Juc beach just outside the Surf Life Saving Club on Saturday about 1pm.
It’s understood the woman had been swimming near rocks at the eastern end of the beach.
Emergency vehicles could be seen leaving the scene just after 2pm.
The woman is yet to be identified.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
Jan Juc beach, on the Great Ocean Road, is a popular destination for holiday-makers and surfers.
This latest fatality comes just a day after a man died after being swept off the rocks near Cape Schanck.
A week earlier, a couple drowned after being swept out to sea at a notoriously dangerous fishing spot near Phillip Island.
