Woman, 24, charged after four men stabbed at Bairnsdale in East Gippsland

A 24-year-old woman has been accused of going on a random stabbing spree in which four men were attacked at a supermarket, fast food restaurant, hotel and train station in East Gippsland.

A 24-year-old woman has been accused of goign on a stabbing rampage through Bairnsdale.

A woman has been accused of going on a terrifying stabbing spree in Bairnsdale in East Gippsland after four men were randomly attacked in public in quick succession.

A 24-year-old woman, who was seen behaving erratically and approaching people at Nicholson St supermarket, has been charged with the stabbings.

The first attack took place at the supermarket at around 9.50pm, when the woman allegedly stabbed a 45-year-old supermarket worker in the stomach before fleeing.

The man was rushed to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.

The woman then fled to a nearby fast food restaurant where it is alleged she approached a man in the carpark and demanded a ride.

During an altercation the woman allegedly attacked the vehicle owner, leaving him bleeding from a cut to his stomach.

It is then alleged the woman made her way to a hotel on Macleod St where she has attacked a third man before again fleeing, leaving the 50-year-old with a cut to his arm.

The final victim, a man in his 20s, was allegedly approached by the woman at the Bairnsdale Train Station where she proceeded to stab him in the shoulder.

The final three victims escaped with minor injuries.

A Ravenhall woman was apprehended by police and has been charged with intentionally cause injury and recklessly cause injury and will face the Bairnsdale Magistrates’ Court today.
