Police car collides with vehicle at Southport after responding to emergency call

A POLICE wagon was involved in an accident at Southport overnight.
Officers were responding to an emergency call at about 9.30pm when their vehicle collided with another at the intersection of Nerang Southport Rd and Olsen Ave.
It’s understood their lights and sirens were on at the time.
The two officers, a police dog and driver of the other vehicle were all uninjured.
The passenger in the car, a woman in her 70s, was transported in a stable condition to the Gold Coast University Hospital suffering shock.
The police car had minor damage to the passenger side door and the other vehicle was damaged on the bonnet.
