A CYCLIST has been rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after he was struck by a car at Ashmore this afternoon.
The crash occurred on busy Olsen Ave about 4.25pm, closing one lane of traffic.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed two crews responded to the crash, where a man was found seriously injured.
He was treated on the scene for about 30 minutes, before being transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
