M1 Ormeau crash: Lanes closed after motorcyclist injured
Commuters from Brisbane to the Gold Coast have faced major delays after a man was injured in a crash, forcing the closure of several lanes.

Multiple southbound lanes of the M1 were closed at Ormeau on Thursday evening after a motorcyclist collided with a vehicle.
It is believed the man, in his 40s, was assisted by off-duty paramedics after the horror accident, which happened near Exit 45 at 5.13pm.

A Queensland ambulance spokesperson said the man refused transport to hospital against the advice of paramedics, who stayed with him for over half an hour after treating him for scratches and abrasions.
Police were at the scene to direct traffic, with significant delays experienced by drivers making their way from Brisbane to the Gold Coast.
Officers advised motorists to avoid the area if possible.
