Firefighters arrived on scene about 20 minutes after the incident where the front of the vehicle was well alight, according to the spokesman.
They said it took about half an hour for the flames to be extinguished.
It’s believed the car struck a street post on the side of the road.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said two occupants from the car, a man and woman, both aged in their 20s were assessed by paramedics.
They suffered minor injuries and were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
The Queensland Police Service confirmed officers were investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash but a spokeswoman said it was not believed to be suspicious.

The fire caused extensive damage to the engine bay and front of the car, and appears to have spread to the inside of the cabin.
