Police charges expected for teen hoons on Gold Coast

TEENAGE hoons accused of crashing into a fence at Parkwood overnight are likely to face charges as police continue to investigate the accident today.
A 15-year-old boy from Loganlea is expected to face charges for unlicensed driving and dangerous use of a motor vehicle after his hatchback hit the fence of a home on Woodlands Way just before 8pm.
Witnesses have reported the car, allegedly with the boy at the wheel, had been doing burnouts in the area before the accident.

Three teenage girls aged 14 to 17 were passengers in the car at the time, with two taken to Gold Coast University Hospital.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed one of the girls suffered elbow and back injuries and the other rib injuries.
It was a busy night for paramedics on the Gold Coast overnight, also treating a man in Coomera for spinal and wrist injuries after he crashed his car into a electricity pole on Kerkin Rd around 7.30pm.
Meanwhile a cyclist in his 30s was also taken to Gold Coast University Hospital after colliding with a car on Old Burleigh Rd at 7.35pm.
