UPDATE: Traffic at the on the M1 at the Tugun Bypass has cleared according to reports from the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
A CAR-CARRIER has crashed with a car in the southbound lane near the Tugun Bypass causing heavy delays, according to reports.
Traffic is backed up to Palm Beach according to Department of Transport and Main Roads reports.
Police said the crash happened about 6pm.
Paramedics have treated 55-year-old man for neck pain and have taken him to The Tweed Hospital in a stable condition.
