FOOTAGE has emerged of an incredible crash on the southern stretch of the M1 last night.
The video, captured by Bulletin reader Armine Wicks, shows the single-vehicle collision which occurred south of Robina heading towards the Reedy Creek exit.
The 35-second clip, which is incorrectly dated, shows a silver Mazda with yellow NSW plates travelling south in the left lane before merging to the right.
But immediately after merging the driver appeared to lose control and swerved to the right, colliding head-on with the concrete divider in the middle of the M1, creating sparks and smoke.

The car swerved again to the left and crossed two lanes of traffic before driving up an embankment.
It only narrowly avoided hitting a white four-wheel-drive which was travelling ahead.
Nobody was injured in the crash.
“This guy is really, really lucky he didn’t kill himself or others like my wife who was driving behind for that matter,” Mrs Wicks’ husband Len said.
