Emergency services respond to crash at Varsity Lakes

SEVERAL people have been taken to hospital after two cars collided at Varsity Lakes this afternoon.

FOUR people have been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital following a traffic accident at Varsity Lakes this afternoon.

At 11.52am two vehicles collided at the intersection of Scottsdale Drive and Stapley Drive.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said it had assessed five patients at the scene.

A 23-year-old woman was being assessed for hip and facial injuries, a 24-year-old man for hip and abdomen pain and a 22-year-old woman for a pelvis injury.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said four people were taken Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
