A man has suffered serious injuries after a large truck tipped at Yatala overnight.
The 38-year-old driver, from Beenleigh, was trapped in the 20-tonne heavy-rigid truck for more than an hour as crews tried to cut him out.
Police said the vehicle rolled on Stanmore Rd near Turner Ave at Yatala around 8.20pm last night, landing on its side.
The road was closed for some time as rescue crews worked to clear the road and pull the man to safety.

The driver, who suffered head and chest injuries, was freed around 9.50pm and taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with help from the Queensland Ambulance Service High Acuity Response Unit.
The truck was towed from the scene around 11.30pm.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
