A WOMAN has been transported to hospital after she crashed down an embankment at Molendinar earlier today.
Police and ambulance were called to the corner of Harley and Ashmore road just after 10:30 after reports of the single vehicle accident.
It’s understood the woman in her 50s had a medical episode at the wheel, drove over a gutter and then down a steep embankment.
Her injuries have not yet been confirmed but she has been transported to Gold Coast University Hospital.

Emergency crews are on route to a car accident at Helensvale.
Police and ambulance were called to the incident on Hope Island Road about 10.20am after reports of a single vehicle crash.
It’s understood the male driver, believed to be in his 20s, hit his head in the crash but his injuries have not yet been confirmed.

Earlier today, emergency crews responded to a truck rollover at Varsity Lakes.
A call came in around 7.40am after reports that a truck had tipped on to its side on Varsity Parade.
It’s understood the male driver was not trapped and sustained only minor injuries.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Meanwhile, fire crews were at the Nerang north offramp at Nerang earlier this morning after reports of a car fire.
Crews received the call just before 8am.
A QLD Fire spokesman said crews located steam emanating from the engine and it is believe the car has blown a turbo.
Motorists are again advised to avoid the area.
