POLICE are investigating after a motorist drove in Surfers Paradise with three boys hanging off the side step.
It comes after V8 Supercar champion Russell Ingall posted a photo of the incident on social media om Saturday.
“How’s this wanker,” he wrote on his official Twitter page.
“Driving around the streets of the GC with kids hanging off the side steps.
“Couldn’t believe it.”
A police spokesman said police were aware of the incident, which occurred on The Corso about 5pm.
“We’re making inquiries and have also made an intel report from the photo on Twitter,” he said.
“It is important for people to report incidents like this directly to police on Crime Stoppers or the Police Link line.
“Social media is not always the best way for us to find out about something.”
No one has been charged in relation to the incident.
