FOR the second year in a row, husband and wife team Brent and Lyndsey Goriss have been named the city’s favourite personal trainer.

The team behind 5 Star Fitness were nominated 85 times when the Townsville Bulletin first put out the call on Facebook to find the city’s best.

Lorna Murphy said the pair had “changed my life for the better” when she nominated them.

“I am healthier and fitter than I have ever been. Enabling me to live my life to the fullest and open up many more opportunities and experiences to me,” she said.

“I have totally changed how I live my life from what I eat and my activity levels. I have been truly blessed to have meet them and that they became a part of my life.”

Mrs Goriss said they were “stoked” to win the poll for the second year running.

“We have a large client base and we’re very thankful the team got behind us to vote,” she said.

“It’s a team environment, a family environment and very supportive of one another.”

The pair have been running 5 Star Fitness for seven years, with their youngest client being 14 years old and their oldest in their 60s.

“We absolutely love what we do and from a PT background as long as you’re mentoring and inspiring your clients you’re doing well,” Mrs Goriss said.

“All the PTs listed and nominated are all inspiring others so it’s fantastic to be a part of this community in Townsville.”
