Police investigating two separate stolen car incidents in Townsville have arrested the alleged teenage thieves.

Queensland Police charged a 14-year-old South Mackay boy with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle after an alleged stolen car incident overnight.

It will be alleged that the boy was involved in stealing a Toyota Landcruiser from a Nathan St address on Tuesday night.

The car was later found along Dalrymple Rd in Garbutt.

When police attended the scene, they arrested two teenagers on site.

The boy is set to appear at Townsville Childrens court at a later date.

Police also charged a second teenage boy over a separate alleged stolen car incident from earlier this month.

Police will allege a vehicle was stolen from an address in Pallarenda on October 5 and was found along Fielding Way in Kirwan on October 7.

Forensic investigations conducted by police revealed a 14-year-old Douglas boy had allegedly been in the vehicle.

Officers found the boy along Bamford Lane on Tuesday and taken into custody.

He was charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and will also front Childrens Court at a later date.
