A motorist has been interviewed by police after their vehicle crashed into a male cyclist at The Strand on Friday morning.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the crash took place at the roundabout of The Strand and Gregory St, North Ward, just after 7am.
She said the driver initially left the scene but pulled up further down the street.
They were assisting police with their inquiries and had not been arrested or charged.
Police are reviewing nearby CCTV footage.
Paramedics rendered aid to the cyclist, who suffered arm injuries, according to a Queensland Ambulance spokesman.
The cyclist was transported to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.
