Paint and Sip with Sab to tour Townsville and Charters Towers

This isn’t your typical paint and sip, it’s Paint Your Peach, an art workshop celebrating self expression and empowering women.

Townsville women will be able to learn all things nude art when the Paint Your Peach tour arrives in North Queensland.

Paint and Sip with Sab “isn’t your typical paint and sip,” the workshop at its heart is a self-love event full of fun and creativity.

The workshop will be travelling through Charters Towers and Townsville in May and June, inviting women to connect, share stories and celebrate self expression as they paint.

Sabrina Chevrier, originally from Canada, has been painting for as long as she can remember, and began her paint and sip business as a way to combine her two passions, art and empowering women.

“For so many women, our relationship with our body has been shaped by shame, comparison, or the feeling that we need to be ‘fixed’,” she said.

“What I offer is a powerful reminder that our worth isn’t measured by how close to perfection we are.”

“Our bodies, in all their diversity, including the marks of life, illness, and change are masterpieces.”

Ms Chevrier described the experience as “a little cheeky, a little soulful, and a lot of fun.”

“Women send me photos of their body ahead of the event, and I pre-sketch the outline onto a canvas so they can paint their own portrait on the day,” she said.

“Sure, there’s painting and a little bit of sipping, but at the heart of it, it’s a self-love workshop disguised as a fun, creative afternoon.”

Paint Your Peach Charters Towers will be held at Towers Arts on May 30, and at the Heritage Exchange in Townsville on May 31.
