Next generation of businesses leaders in Townsville

Townsville is a hotbed for entrepreneurial talent. Meet some of the up and coming business stars who are making a difference.

Townsville is sometimes considered a government town. True, the city hosts one of Australia’s largest defence bases and has a major role as the commercial, administrative and logistics hub for much of northern Australia.

But it is also a hotbed for entrepreneurial talent. There’s few better places to start a business for people with great ideas and a desire to work. Also, many corporates and governments use the city as a testing ground for business models or to develop future leaders.

Here we feature some of the leaders of today and tomorrow.

Jarrod came to Townsville in the late 1990s when his father, Murray, took on a coaching role, later as head coach, for the North Queensland Cowboys.

Jarrod is a carpenter, joiner and builder, won Master Builders’ rising star award in 2015 and was an emerging leader in the Townsville Enterprise program of the same name in 2016.

They operate clinics around the region and have a large team of occupational therapists and a physiotherapist providing services in paediatrics, disability, aged support, hand therapy, mental health and rehabilitation.
