A Townsville mother facing charges over the death of her two young sons is set to enter pleas before a Supreme Court judge.

Leeanne Chrysilla Eatts was charged with two counts of manslaughter over the death of her two sons in 2019.

The boys, Barak Austral, 5, and Jhulio Sariago, 3, died on February 25 in that year, after the pair wandered away from their family home a couple of weeks after the Townsville floods.

Their bodies were found in the Ross River, just metres apart.

Eatts was not required to appear in Townsville Supreme Court on Tuesday morning when her indictment was presented before Justice David North.

Her lawyer, Phil Rennick, requested an arraignment date be set for her manslaughter charges.

Justice North set Eatts’ arraignment for the manslaughter counts on a date in late January 2023.

Eatts is also facing a number of separate drugs related charges in addition to the manslaughter indictment.

The drug related offences were adjourned to the same date for mention.

Eatts’ bail was enlarged.
