An elderly woman was injured on Friday afternoon after a man stole her vehicle at knifepoint in Hermit Park.
Detectives are appealing for public assistance after an 81-year-old woman’s white Toyota Corolla was stolen from Campbell Street at 5:35pm.
A Queensland police spokesman said the woman had been standing next to her parked car when a man in a stolen blue Ford Ranger stopped and threatened her with a knife.
The man then stole the woman’s handbag and entered the Toyota Corolla’s driver’s seat.
In an attempt to retrieve her handbag from the moving vehicle the woman suffered a fall.
Queensland Ambulance services arrived on scene and transported her to her local doctor with minor wrist injuries.
A Queensland Police spokesman said the Toyota Corolla and Ford Ranger both remain outstanding.
