The Bruce Highway was blocked at Home Hill after a semi-trailer crashed into a truck parked on the side of the road, early on Thursday morning.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said one of the vehicles was written off by the collision, which occurred near Seventh Ave at 1am.
Two Rural Fire Service crews were first to arrive at the scene of the crash, where no motorists were trapped in their vehicles.
Paramedics transported one male in his 50s with neck injuries in a stable condition to Ayr Hospital.
One vehicle was towed and the other was shifted to the side of the highway.
Following witness reports of traffic backing up across the Burdekin Bridge, police confirmed that the highway reopened in both directions at 7am.
The Burdekin area has been plagued by road closures due to the 2025 flooding event.
Further up the road in Ayr, the Bruce Highway remains closed to all traffic at Plantation Creek, according to the Queensland Traffic website, although heavy vehicles have been allowed to drive through.
There was also a three-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway near Bowen on Wednesday at 5.44pm.
Queensland Ambulance transported one female with chest injuries to Bowen Hospital in a stable condition.
