BRENDAN Tyrrell had his family’s future mapped out.
From the trips they would take, to the house he would build them, the 28-year-old had big dreams and lived his life to be the best dad possible.
But to his wife, Aliesha Tyrrell, her husband was already the man and father of her dreams, and will never be replaced since his sudden death tipped her world upside down last week.
“There are no words to describe the loss of my soulmate, my best friend. It could never be enough,” Mrs Tyrrell said.
Brendan was killed on May 6 when his motorcycle and a car collided on Woolcock St while he was on his way to work as a truck driver about 6.20am.
He was rushed to hospital, but sadly couldn’t be saved, leaving behind three children, Harper, 4, Payton, 2, and Xavier, eight months.
Mrs Tyrrell said Brendan lived every day for his family.
“Brendan was the type of husband who always thought of the little things, who left my towel in the shower so I wouldn’t get cold, who plugged in my phone if I forgot, who always made sure I had milk for my coffee.
“He was kind, caring, loving, cheeky and so charismatic. We couldn’t go to Coles without him striking up a conversation with people, whether he knew them or not.”
His other big passions were music, being outdoors and stirring up his three sisters, Alicia, Annie and Georgia.
His big sister, Alicia Elliot, 32, said Brendan was the glue who held their family together.
“As a brother he took great joy in stirring us up and pushing our buttons just to laugh at us and we absolutely loved it, that was our family’s love language,” Ms Elliott said.
“It wasn’t a family event without Brendan’s ridiculous chuckle and a Jack Daniels in his hand.”
Brendan, the beloved only son of Kelly and Robert, had just enrolled at James Cook University to study IT before his sudden death, and dreamt of building his family a beautiful home in Black River.
Brendan’s close friend Joshua Campbell said he was the man every young father aspired to be.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the Tyrrell family pay for Brendan’s funeral, and any ongoing bills.
In just three days, about 200 people have donated more than $15,000 to the cause, smashing the initial $8000 goal.
Ms Elliott said they were blown away by the support.
“The support we have received from the public is overwhelming. Words cannot possibly express how much it means to take the worry of something as silly as money away while we are just trying to process his loss.”
The family also plan to hold a motorcycle convoy in honour of Brendan. More details will be released soon.
The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the crash.
