Star Australian musician Amy Shark is set to visit Townsville when she kicks off her mammoth regional tour across the country.

AUSTRALIAN singer songwriter Amy Shark is set to visit Townsville when she kicks off her mammoth regional tour across the country.

The ARIA award winner will take the stage at the Townsville Entertainment Centre in August to perform hits from her critically acclaimed albums Cry Forever and Love Monster on the See U Somewhere tour.

Shark shot to fame in 2016 with the release of her hit song Adore which was instantly added to high rotation on Triple J.

Since then, she has amassed hundreds of millions of online streams, received countless awards and sold millions of albums.

She said was excited to set off on the road and visit 42 regional locations including just seven shows in Queensland.

He return to the stage comes as the city welcomes a range of live music acts again after the Covid pandemic wreaked havoc on the music industry.

“I don’t know when I’ll get the chance to do a huge Australian run like this again,” she said.

“I’m the happiest when I’m on stage performing and I can’t wait to travel further into where I’ve never been before, to explore some of these towns and meet everyone, it’s going to be a fun one.”

Tickets for the shows will go on sale at 10am on Wednesday 30 March.
