After months of sold-out performances, one of the finest magic shows to ever grace Toowoomba will extend its season until the end of the year.
Featuring Australia’s best magicians, the Theatre of Magic has announced a six-month encore including four performances during the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers from September 13 to October 4.
Theatre of Magic will also offer magic workshops for young aspiring magicians as part of Thrive Festival in September.
The Empire general manager Giuliana Bonel said she was excited to see the show continue with monthly performances.
“The reaction from our audiences has been nothing short of phenomenal,” she said in a press release.
“We have experienced month after month of sold-out performances, waitlists and incredible feedback after each show – it’s clear Toowoomba has fallen under Theatre of Magic’s spell.
“It’s been a joy to be able to provide such a one-of-a-kind theatre experience to our community for the past six months, and we are thrilled to take this to a new level with additional weekly shows throughout September and early October and continue sharing the magic for the rest of 2025.”
Theatre of Magic creator Christopher Wayne said it was great to see Toowoomba audiences loving the show.
“There is nothing else like this in the Darling Downs, bringing the world’s best magicians into an intimate space for a close-up show. We are so happy that Toowoomba loves magic as much as we do,” he said in a press release.
“Audience interaction makes every show different from the last, and moving into the second half of 2025 we are bringing new magicians, new tricks and brand-new shows up the range.
“Some of the acts our audiences can expect include The Amazing Nigel, one of the best close-up magicians in the world, Josh Norbido and one of our newest performers, Sean Mergard, who has taken Australia by storm with his ability read minds and predict the future.”
Tickets to the Theatre of Magic from July are on sale from June 11, 9am.
