In just over two months the Garden City turns floral for the annual Carnival of Flowers, and you can now purchase tickets to its headline events.
The tickets are now up for grabs months after Toowoomba Regional Council confirmed major changes to the iconic event, which included axing the Festival of Food and Wine.
That event has been replaced by FEASTival, which based on descriptions appears to have a strikingly similar format to the previous festival.
That includes plenty of cooking demonstrations, headlined by celebrity chef Miguel Maestre.
What is missing is a high-profile music line-up, and the ticket price has been adjusted accordingly.
Early bird tickets to this event will set you back $35.
It might be cheaper, but other events have a staggering price.
Tickets to an “exclusive” Lawn Party, which takes place on the first weekend of the carnival, are an eye-watering $350.
The bespoke event will be held on the Godsall St oval and features a five-hour beer and wine package, an oyster bar and gourmet canapes.
Patrons can expect pop up performances including roaming ballerinas, floral gifting and unique photo moments.
Despite the high price, cocktails and champagne will be available for an additional purchase.
Numbers are limited to 750 tickets.
The Carnival of Flowers will run for four weekends from September 12 to October 6.
Other key council events returning this year include the Grand Central Floral Parade, #TrEATS and the Paw Parade.
