The Ville Resort-Casino reveals transformation of its back lawn into Margaritaville

With a run of long weekends headed our way, a Townsville business is offering relaxed Sunday session experiences where the tunes a chilled and so are the margaritas.

JIMMY Buffett would fit right in at The Ville Resort-Casino on Sundays for the next few weeks, as the Back Lawn is transformed into Margaritaville.

Sipping margaritas and listening to music in a relaxed environment is what it’s all about, as The Ville Resort-Casino combines with Patron to bring the area to life. Marketing executive events Jasmine Zeller said it was a free event on the lawn from 1pm to 6pm with very casual DJs playing.

“We are utilising the lawn while there are a few public holidays coming up so we thought it would be a good idea to do something a bit different in Townsville,” she said. The traditional margarita cocktail consists of tequila, orange liqueur and lime juice with salt on the rim of the glass and served shaken with ice.

There are three different margarita flavours to sample. “There is a frozen mango, a frozen strawberry and then we have got a classic passionfruit, pineapple and coconut.”

But she said one flavour of margarita was already the crowd favourite.

“The coconut margarita has definitely been a standout.”
