A Hobart man charged with attempted forcible abduction after he allegedly tried to force a youth into his car near the Hobart Domain has again faced court on Wednesday.

Geoffrey Ross Brendan Goss, 60, appeared before Magistrate Andrew McKee in the Hobart Magistrates Court over the September 25 incident.

Tasmania Police previously said that Bridgewater Criminal Investigation Branch officers and Southern Division police responded to reports of a man attempting to force a youth into a vehicle shortly after 8pm.

“The youth was not physically injured and provided a detailed version of events including the man’s number plate,” Tasmania Police said in a public statement at the time.

“Police located and arrested the man a short time later.”

Mr Goss, accompanied by his wife, appeared in court as his lawyer asked for an adjournment on the matter while full disclosure was sought from police.

His lawyer shared that once she receives full disclosure, Mr Goss will enter a plea at the next court date.

Mr McKee granted an extension of Mr Goss’ bail conditions and adjourned the matter until December 10.
