Gold Coast Women of the Year tickets to go on sale

Some of the city’s most accomplished women will be celebrated at the inaugural Harvey Norman Gold Coast Women of the Year Awards gala lunch, with tickets on sale from today.

SOME of the city’s most accomplished women will be celebrated at the inaugural Harvey Norman Gold Coast Women of the Year Awards gala lunch, with tickets on sale from today.

A total of 24 finalists were chosen across eight categories, from entrepreneurs and educators to sports stars and style icons.

The winners will be announced at The Star Gold Coast on International Women’s Day, March 8.

More than 1600 votes have already been cast in the People’s Choice category since voting opened a week ago.

The Angels Among Us and Champions of Education have attracted the most votes so far, but there is still time to have a say with entries open until January 26 on the Women of the Year website.

Mrs Patterson said she was “amazed” to find out she had been named as a finalist, and was looking forward to getting dressed up for the lunch.

“I couldn’t believe it, I thought wow, it’s gone crazy on Facebook and people I went to school with have seen it. I’m just so humbled,” she said.

The winners of each category will win a $1000 Harvey Norman voucher, milon Premium Health Club membership and a $100 Oscar Oscar voucher.

The overall winner will receive a $5000 Harvey Norman voucher and a six-month ambassadorship with Oscar Oscar.
