“I don’t mind working and volunteering because I love what I do.
“I don’t party. I have a partner and a step son, so we are always out exploring.”
Even when she catches up with friends she discusses work.
Mrs Brinkman works endlessly to improve and preserve natural locations and has been nominated for the entrepreneur category of the Gold Coast Women of the Year competition.
The Bulletin’s inaugural Harvey Norman Gold Coast Women of the Year campaign celebrates the city’s leading females.
“I love that I can be an extra voice in the community. It’s so rewarding,” she said.
