MOVERS and shakers of business, tourism, sport and real estate feature in our first instalment of the Power 130, showcasing the Gold Coast’s most influential people.
It has been three years since the Gold Coast Bulletin published its Power 100 list and we’ve expanded it in 2015 to celebrate the 130th birthday of the Gold Coast Bulletin.
In the past, the Power 100 has focused almost exclusively on the big business you glimpse in the VIP rooms of the city’s premier events.
This is where much of the city’s power still rests, but the 2015 Power 130 recognises the growing economic diversity of the Gold Coast and the expanding influence of digital and social media.
This is why you’ll notice sporting icons, celebrities and social media sensations on the list this year.
Check out who took out the positions of 111 to 130 below. We’ll be counting down to number 1 every day this week.
