Two South Australians win over $250,000 in X Lotto prize, one unclaimed prize

Two South Australians were given an extra Easter treat over the long weekend after winning a quarter of a million dollars – but one of them doesn’t even know they won.

Two South Australians enjoyed an extra special Easter long weekend, winning the lotto – but one ticketholder may be unaware of their good fortune.

The Adelaide players, a Port Adelaide man and the other, unregistered and unknown, held two of the 20 division one winning entries in the Saturday X Lotto draw 4565, drawn Saturday, April 19, 2025.

The two players won $255,096.86.

While lottery officials are urging local players to check their tickets, the Port Adelaide man is thanking a “funny feeling” for reminding him to check his ticket.

“With Easter and everything, I had forgotten all about the draw,” he said.

“But I had a funny feeling and about midnight on Saturday, I logged in and had a look.

“To my surprise, there was a surprise. I couldn’t believe that 20 people had won division one.

“I’ve been playing those numbers for years and years. I just randomly picked them and stuck with them.

“It’s an awesome win – I’ll take $250,000 any day of the week.”

The Port Adelaide man said he will spend 80 per cent of the winnings on his mortgage and the rest to treat himself and loved ones to something like a holiday with upgraded flights and hotels.

The unclaimed winner purchased their ticket at OTR Salisbury Drive Thru, 142 Salisbury Highway, Salisbury.

Last year, the same location sold a Powerball entry that won $150m – Australia’s biggest individual lottery win.

The Lott spokesman Matt Hart said he hoped Adelaide’s latest division one winner checked their winning ticket soon.

“Someone is most likely walking around completely oblivious to the fact they won a division one prize in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw,” he said.

“Can you imagine how exciting it would be discover you’ve taken home more than $250,000? Your plans for the rest of 2025 and beyond could change in a heartbeat.”

The winning numbers were 28, 10, 44, 21, 19 and 14 and the supplementary numbers were 33 and 23.

Across Australia, there were 20 division one winning entries – six in Queensland, five in Victoria, two each in New South Wales, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia and one in the Northern Territory.
