Mansfield Park home go up in flames a day after two house fires in Adelaide’s north

Police are investigating another house fire in Adelaide’s north – the third in less than 36 hours.

Three people were evacuated from a home with one man treated for smoke inhalation as police investigate a house fire at Mansfield Park.

Fire crews were called to the Hanson Rd home just after 5.45pm on Tuesday after reports of a blaze.

There were no reports of any serious injuries.

Fire cause investigators went to the scene and the fire is not believed to be suspicious.

It comes after a home erupted in flames at Paralowie on Monday night, while hours later firefighters arrived at a Kilburn unit to find it burning ferociously.

Emergency crews responded to the huge fire at a house in Hazelmere Court, Paralowie, just before 10pm on Monday.

The house was quickly engulfed in flames, but the occupants managed to escape safely while neighbouring homes were also evacuated.

An MFS spokesperson said fire crews took 30 minutes to control and extinguish the fire, and to protect the surrounding properties.

Fire investigators confirmed the fire started in the rear of the house with the cause still undetermined.

Structural damage has been estimated at $350,000.

Hours later, at 1.50am on Tuesday morning, a Kilburn unit went up in flames.

A crew of 24 firefighters from eight trucks and a command vehicle rushed to a group of units on Galway St, where they found a two-bedroom unit with flames coming from the roof and the front window.

Firefighters took 30 minutes to control and extinguish the fire, and in doing so protected the neighbouring properties.

The occupants fled before MFS units arrived and were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.

Fire investigators believe the fire started in the bedroom and the cause is still not known.

Damage is estimated at $300,000.
