MedSTAR called to Onkaparinga Valley Rd after truck crash at Woodside in the Adelaide Hills
Motorists were urged to avoid a major road in the Adelaide Hills after a morning crash threw traffic into chaos.

A truck driver has been taken to hospital after hitting a tree in the Adelaide Hills before being swiped by a second heavy vehicle on Thursday morning.
SA Police and emergency services responded to a road crash rescue incident near the intersection of Onkaparinga Valley and Tiers roads at Woodside just before 9am.
A witness told The Advertiser one truck had hit a tree before a second travelling in the opposite direction scraped its side.
The witness said the response by emergency services and subsequent reopening of the road was “very quick”.
“Once they had stabilised the driver and helped him off, then it didn’t take very long for them to actually clear the road,” she said.
A worker at the nearby Woodside Hotel said locals were very quick to rush to the man’s aid.
“There were probably five people there within a minute,” he said.
Onkaparinga Valley Rd is now open in both directions.
The Advertiser understands the MedSTAR helicopter also landed at the scene.
Police advised northbound traffic on Onkaparinga Valley Rd was closed and traffic was being diverted along Nairne Rd.
