A man was rushed to hospital with multiple lacerations and another has been arrested over a brawl in the CBD on Saturday.

Police were called to Halifax St just after 2:30pm after reports of two men fighting.

During the brawl, an Adelaide man, 56, suffered lacerations to his hand and body, and was taken to hospital for treatment.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A 37-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

He was refused police bail and is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.

The incident comes just days after a city worker was slashed with broken glass during the robbery of a CBD convenience store on Thursday night.

A 25-year-old Yatala man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, theft and property damage after he allegedly stole items from Corner Convenience on Wright St, before breaking a window and assaulting the store worker with a piece of glass, leaving a laceration on their hand.
