A Seaton woman has faced court over the alleged hit and run of a 13-year-old girl at Hendon last month.

Lesley Karen Boyko, 68, made her first appearance at the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

She was arrested in February after she allegedly mounted a median strip and struck a teenage girl on West Lakes Boulevard before disappearing.

The teen suffered non-life-threatening injuries, including a broken pelvis and lacerations to her head and leg.

Police allege Ms Boyko briefly stopped the car following the crash but left the scene shortly after without helping the injured girl.

Last month, police found her MG SUV in Seaton with a damaged headlight and mirror.

Ms Boyko was charged with driving without due care, leaving the accident scene after causing serious harm, failing to stop and give particulars to persons at a crash scene and failing to give particulars about a crash to a police officer.

She is yet to enter a plea and remains on bail. She was issued with a 12-month loss of licence.

On Tuesday, Ms Boyko’s hearing was adjourned.

Following the collision, the victim told 9News Adelaide she had gotten off a bus and was standing on the median strip waiting for traffic to pass when she was struck.

“All I remember is the car hitting me and I went bang and I fell so I couldn’t see anything,” she told 9News.

“I was just in shock. I was like, is this a dream?”

Ms Boyko is due to return to court in May.
