Glenside woman arrested in Rundle Mall after disturbances, allegedly kicking cop

A woman will face court after she allegedly assaulted a police officer in front of dozens of shocked onlookers.

A woman will face court after she allegedly assaulted police in front of dozens of onlookers in Rundle Mall on Thursday.

SA Police confirmed the 46-year-old Glenside woman was arrested after foot patrol officers in Rundle Mall were alerted to a woman allegedly hassling members of the public and causing a disturbance.

They said when the officers approached her, her behaviour continued and she was arrested.

Police will further allege that after she was handcuffed, she kicked an officer in the knee – which did not result in any significant injuries.

She was subsequently charged with disorderly behaviour and assaulting a prescribed emergency worker.

She also received an expiation notice after she was searched, and officers located alcohol in her possession – she was within the CBD’s dry zone.

The woman was granted bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in August.
