The crash occurred a short distance from the University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy Campus, and also within 10 kilometres of Templers, where a 39-year-old woman died in hospital on Monday, from a head-on collision with a truck on April 23.

MedStar attended the scene, and the man was airlifted to hospital.

Major Crash Investigators also attended the scene to determine the cause of the crash.

Police have advised motorists to avoid the area if possible, with road closure expected to be in place throughout the night.
