Doyle’s Guide: SA’s leading compensation lawyer rankings
South Australia’s most trusted compensation lawyers have secured coveted spots in the nation’s leading legal directory, with one firm dominating five categories.
South Australia’s leading compensation lawyers have been recognised on the nation’s most respected law directory, led by DBH Lawyers which has secured six spots across five compensation categories in the annual guide.
The Doyle’s Guide lists leading lawyers and law firms across key practice areas based on peer reviews, client feedback, and independent research, ranking them across four categories – market leader, pre-eminent, leading and recommended.
Leading practitioners in their field include Turner Freeman’s Annie Hoffman in asbestos and dust diseases, Christian Finocchio from C+F Lawyers in motor vehicle accident matters and DBH Lawyers partner Matt Arentz in the public liability category.
Mr Arentz was one of five South Australian lawyers to appear in two categories, also named a recommended practitioner in the work injury category.
Peter Jackson and Amy Nikolovski, also from DBH, Tim Downie from Johnston Withers and Paul Alvaro from Paul Alvaro Lawyers were also listed as recommended practitioners in two categories.
Ms Nikolovski, managing partner at DBH Lawyers, said it was another proud moment for the firm to be featured on the prestigious list.
“We are proud to have again been recognised by the prestigious Doyle’s Guide as leaders in our profession and our specialist areas,” she said.
“Our expert team is honoured that South Australians trust us to advise them and work to secure them the best possible outcomes in challenging situations and we thank them, our colleagues who voted for us and Doyle’s Guide for this recognition.”
Founded to help clients and peers identify Australia’s most respected legal practitioners, Doyle’s Guide has become one of the country’s most widely referenced legal directories, highlighting top talent in areas ranging from personal injury to commercial law.
Mr Arentz, an equity partner at DBH, recently celebrated 20 years in the legal profession and 20 years with DBH Lawyers, where he has become a key member of the firm’s personal injury and workers compensation practice.
He said his career had been defined by a passion for helping those navigating complex and often life-altering legal challenges.
“There’s a feeling you get when you help someone through something like that,” he said. “Occasionally, you get to change someone’s life.”
Meanwhile, Ms Hoffman has been named as one of the leading or pre-eminent dust diseases compensation lawyers in South Australia for more than 10 years, and earlier this year was recognised with the Dr Robyn Layton AO KC Award by the Women Lawyers’ Association of South Australia.
The award recognises a practising female lawyer in South Australia who has demonstrated outstanding contribution and achievement in the law.
Mr Finocchio, a co-founder of C+F Lawyers, has been practising personal injury litigation since 2007, with extensive experience in motor vehicle accidents, workers compensation, medical negligence and public liability claims.
