A Comanchero bikie was allegedly captured on CCTV footage mistakenly aiming a sawn-off shotgun at a crying child, a court has heard.

Shaun Barry White, 36, appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with possessing a firearm without a licence, contravening a firearm prohibition order, aggravated affray and refusing to answer a question by a police officer.

He is yet to enter any pleas.

The court heard he got out of a van and approached a parked car outside a Christie Downs property in November last year.

The Christies Beach man reached inside the van, removed what prosecutors alleged to be a firearm, and concealed it in the back of his shorts before pointing the weapon at passengers, the court heard.

Prosecutor Sophie Wilson opposed Mr White’s application for bail telling Magistrate Joanna Martin the incident involved “very serious allegations”.

“Two vehicles approach the address and the defendant is one of the males who exits the vehicle," Ms Wilson said. “The defendant approaches a white Holden sedan that was parked on the lawn. CCTV shows a female in the front passenger seat, a male in the driver’s seat and a juvenile – approximately eight-to-ten-years-old – in the back seat.

“The defendant is captured levelling it (the firearm) at the female. The defendant then shouted ‘get the f**k out’ three times. The juvenile moved over to the driver’s side of the back seat then got out of the car and ran off – they can be heard crying and in distress.

“The male in the driver’s seat exited the (car) to help the juvenile. The defendant then walks around to the rear of the sedan and gestures for the man to get back in while still brandishing the firearm. He then appears to realise there is a child present and appears to apologise and tells the child to get back in the car.”

Mr White was arrested on Tuesday after a police investigation into a number of other Comanchero members involved in the alleged affray.

On Wednesday, the court heard he was on bail at the time of the current offending on pending aggravated assault, affray and theft charges.

It also heard he had been placed on home detention bail in January on other offences related to “very serious accusations of violence”, but breached his bail conditions “only a week after”.

Ms Martin denied Mr White’s bail application and remanded him in custody to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in May.
