Colleagues have applauded the popular breakfast host after she returned to the air with an important message.

Ali Clarke has made another return to Mix 102.3 to launch a national breast check day.

Late last month the mum-of-three revealed on-air that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.

On Friday she underwent a mastectomy and on Tuesday she popped up on Max and Ali in the Morning to give listeners a health update.

Now on Thursday she has made another guest appearance to launch day one of MIX 102.3 BREAST CHECK DAY which will be on the first of every month.

“Because of what I have gone through and because of what so many women are going through, the KIIS Network, which includes Mix 102.3 and sister stations across Australia, will be launching a national campaign urging everyone to perform regular self-breast checks,” Clarke said, adding it was designed to make self-examinations a routine part of life.

The campaign will remind listeners to check their breasts with the cheeky tagline, “Have you felt yours lately?”.

Clarke also said: “We are encouraging everyone to feel their boobs or get friendly with their breasts on the first of every month. Because there isn’t a cure for breast cancer it is all about early prevention.”

ARN’s Lauren Joyce said: “Ali’s bravery has inspired a wave of action, and we want to keep that momentum going. Regular self-checks can make a huge difference, and we’re here to remind our listeners to take that important step.”
