A parent’s violent tirade towards a 12-year-old student has been filmed inside the classroom

A parent has been filmed threatening to slit a 12-year-old’s throat at a private school in Adelaide’s northeastern suburbs, with police now investigating the shocking incident.

A mother has been filmed inside a school classroom in a violent spat, threatening to “slit” a 12-year-old student’s throat at a school in Adelaide’s north-eastern suburbs.

The incident occurred inside a Year 8 classroom at St Paul's College in Gilles Plains on Monday, with footage of the incident being filmed by someone standing at the back of the class.

In the footage, obtained by 7News, the woman appears to be confronting two students over a bullying incident involving her own daughter, while threatening them in a violent tirade.

“You ever f****** mess with my daughter again I’ll slit your f****** throat,” she can be heard yelling.

“You want to f****** go bitch? You want to f****** go? You ever f****** talk to my daughter again.

“I’m your f****** nightmare bitch… I’ll slit your f****** throat. I’ll be waiting for you.

The mother was swiftly ushered out of the room by her husband, as a shocked student looked on, but not before she directed another threat at another student.

“And that smart little f*** over there, yeah, you know you’re just jealous because you’re a **** ****,” she yelled.

Speaking to 7News outside of the school on Tuesday, parents said they were “shocked” about the incident.

“You lead by example, I mean, I’m a fiery person but I wouldn’t do that in a classroom full of kids,” parent, Isabella Ragano said.

“Oh, it’s terrible, yeah .. yeah that’s bad. I’m shocked actually,” parent Clint Haines said

A spokesperson for South Australia Police said the incident was reported to them, and that an investigation was underway.

“The incident has been reported to police and an investigation is underway,” they said.

“Police will be working closely with the School during the investigation. Thankfully the student involved was not physically injured.”

St Paul’s College is a coeducational Catholic college which has an estimated 1,000 students from Reception to Year 12.

Principal of St Paul’s College, Patrick Harmer said the school was providing support to students but could not comment further as there was a police investigation.

“As this is subject to a police investigation, we cannot provide further detail at this stage,” he said.

“The safety and wellbeing of our students is of the utmost importance, and we are providing support to students who may have witnessed the incident.”
