EMERGENCY crews have co-ordinated a marathon nine-hour rescue after a marine accident off the Gold Coast overnight.
Crews worked through the night to reach the woman in her 60s, who suffered head and neck injuries after falling off a ladder on-board a vessel, 60 nautical miles — about 111 kilometres — off Southport.
Queensland Ambulance Service received the distress call around 11.40pm on Friday.
Water police, with paramedics on board, finally made it back to shore with the woman on-board by 8.40am on Saturday.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the woman was in a stable condition.
She was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
