Motorists travelling eastbound on the Warrego Highway could be in for a long delay as emergency services respond to a two-vehicle crash.
It’s understood a truck and car collided in the vicinity of the Warrego Highway and Weier Rd at Hatton Vale about 8.25am on Monday.
A QFD spokesman said just after 9am crews were able to free the driver of the ute using cutting gear, removing the roof of the vehicle to get the man free.
It’s understood eastbound traffic is now facing up to a two hour delay, as the truck remains on its side blocking both lanes.
Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics transported a man in his 80s, believed to be the driver of the ute, to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.
The QAS spokeswoman said paramedics also transported a man in his 40s, the driver of the truck, to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
Earlier a Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said traffic would likely to be backed up for some time, and officers were in the process of setting up a diversion just before Plainland.
