Two trucks crash on Kilcoy Beerwah Road
One driver has been flown to Brisbane with life-threatening injuries and another sent to a Sunshine Coast hospital after a serious crash at a roadworks site.

A 57-year-old man is fighting for life after a two-truck crash west of the Sunshine Coast overnight.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on Kilcoy Beerwah Road at Cedarton at 10.15pm Friday.
It’s understood the crash happened between two trucks - one of which drove into the other while it was parked- involved in night roadworks and the road was closed for several hours.
According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, one man with a head injury was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition, and another man was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
In a statement, the Queensland Police Service advised they were investigating the two-truck crash, which took place during a roadworks zone.
“Initial investigations indicate at about 10.15pm, two trucks crashed at roadworks on Beerwah-Kilcoy Rd,” the statement read.
“The driver of one truck, a 57-year-old man, was airlifted to Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
“The driver of the other truck, a 69-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.”
The Forensic Crash Unit is assisting Workplace Health and Safety with their investigations into the cause of the crash.
